This mixed media drawing, made with watercolour pencils, fine liner and acrylic paint, is based on a photograph my niece took on her way to school. I thought it was a beautiful image, capturing the liminal moment of a journey. The combination of materials allowed me to show the softness of the light alongside the sharp details of the branches and the bright reflections of the car lights.
