Sting Nematode, Belonolaimus longicaudatus

Aug 2026

I painted the symptoms of the sting nematode, Belonolaimus longicaudatus, on strawberry plants.

The painting shows two strawberry plants, one healthy and one infected. The healthy plant has a well-developed root system and larger leaves, while the infected plant is smaller, with a shortened, stubby root system caused by damage to the growing root tips.
